2016 Fall Bridge to the Doctorate Retreat

On October 14, 2016, students from Bridge to the Doctorate programs at University of Delaware and Delaware State University came together at the idyllic University of Delaware campus to spend a full day learning more about how to succeed in their current graduate program but also garnering some tips on how to get to the next step of a PhD and beyond. Current faculty, professionals and AMP alumni generously and enthusiastically shared about their personal experiences in research, the path to a PhD, STEM careers, adviser relationships and graduate experience. Students were able to interact with one another and the speakers in an intimate setting, asking questions and sharing about their own challenges.
